Our U13s kicked off the season at home on Tuesday evening against Adare in what was a brilliant contest from start to finish.
The only goal of the game came from Sam Lewis, who latched onto a perfectly timed pass from Sean Cribbin, took a superb first touch to beat his marker, and slotted calmly into the bottom corner.
Adare pushed hard and earned a penalty just before half-timeβbut Charlie Frawley produced a stunning save to his right, then bravely denied the rebound. Charlie was immense all game, showing courage and class between the posts.
The second half saw chances at both ends, but neither side could add to the score. The match finished 1-0, with both teams showing excellent attitude and commitment. Special mention to Luke Fitzgibbon, who put in a tireless performance across the full 60 minutes.
Huge thanks to the supporters who braved the weather, and to Gerald Connor for refereeing and guiding the players throughout.
A fantastic start to the seasonβwell done lads!
